On February 7, 2005,Macromedia / adobe announced that the latest version of ColdFusion had been released.ColdFusion MX 7.0 offers up some significant new features, as well asimprovements to existing ones. Probably the most visiblenew feature is the ability for CFMX 7.0 to easily create Flash-based forms. With the use of a few tags (,,,among others), CF will generate sophisticated Flash-based forms. These includetabbed forms, expandable and collapsible accordion forms, trees, data grids, and calendar components. The Flash forms are cross-platform and look great, andare far easier to build than DHTML-based forms. The forms can also executecustom Flash ActionScript commands if you have theneed. For a developer like me, who has rather rudimentary graphic designskills, the new Flash forms are welcome addition.

3. Renderware SDK – $190,000
Renderware is many things, but the portion gta uses, is Renderware Graphics, and is the driving force behind what you see (literally) in the game. Renderware graphics is the only part of the renderware package that GTA uses. The next gta will be on the PS3, and there has been no mention of an update for Renderware, for any major next gen system, since EA bought it (Rw). R* was also hiring export coders not too long ago, presumably they are building their own engine, or licensing a different one, for gta4. In either case, it doesn’t look like they’ll be using Rw and if they dfid, 3.7 will be outdated by that time.
2. VxWorks – $199,000
VxWorks provides the best foundation for rapid development and execution of complex applications in real-time. This efficient real-time operating system incorporates such features as a scalable run-time kernel to conserve code space and support for many different application programming interfaces. 1. CryENGINE – - $200,000+
The Cryengine 3 as the most expensive software is a game-engine developed by Crytek was released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC. In many ways it’s a more refined version of Crytek’s previous engine the CryEngine 2, for instance the CryEngine 3 seems to be much more efficient than the CryEngine 2, being able to match the PC graphic level equivalent “High” on consoles (though how smooth they will perform remains unknown).
